My artist’s name “Emiko Monden” is carved on this seal. I got that from my pupils when I finished my assistant job at the university. When I was concerned whether I could keep going for art or not. I got courage and hope to keep on making art from this, because I felt as if it would tell me to go ahead without hesitation.

吉川直矩が井波町長（富山井波市）をやっていた時に、金沢に電灯がともったので、早く入れてもらったお礼状のようなものと言われたので（字が読めないので確かなことはわかりません）参加してみました。１０６年前のハガキで物めずしさはないが電灯の件がありエピソードに入るのじゃないかと思いましたので！！
