29 years ago, a girl in my class said suddenly “you take it” and gave me this stone. This is just a nondescript stone, so normally I don’t care about this, but I find that I have longer relationship with this more than any of my belongings. Over the last 29 years, the existence of this stone is getting bigger and bigger in my mind.

高校生だった29年前、クラスメイトの女子が突然「これあげる」と言って僕に手渡したのがこの石です。特に目立つところもないので普段は忘れているのですが、気が付いてみたら僕の持ち物の中ではこの石との付き合いが最も長いのです。29年の間に、このつまらない石の存在は僕の中で何故か大きなものになってきているようです。
