This record disc is “Beethoven symphony complete volume ” (LP record) “ recorded to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Colombia festival in 1960. 82 year old Brno Walter, the conductor of New York Philharmonic, spent 1 year to record. When I bought the stereo of Colombia, the owner told me that it is a limited edition and it is hard to get it. It was about 60,000 yen (my salary was about 7,000 yen at that time). It is a good memory of old days, and I don’t think it was an expensive shopping.

このレコード盤は、昭和35年コロンビア50周年記念祭の時、ニューヨークフィルの常任指揮者であったブルノーワルターが82才の時、1年間をかけ、収録した『ヴェートーヴェン交響曲全集』（LP盤）です。コロンビアのステレオを買った時、店主が限定盤でこんな物はなか々手に入らないよと云われ、思い切って買った物です。月給が7,000円ぐらいの時に総額で6万円ぐらいだったと思います。青春の思い出がいっぱい詰まった品物。今でも高い買い物だったとは思っていません。
