I came to know about Postman Cheval’s Ideal Palace for the first time from a book called ‘Raw Creation’ which impresses me. It was later until 2009 that I traveled to France. As I was heading from Lyon to Nice, I had the opportunity to visit Postman Cheval’s Ideal Palace. When I saw the place, I was even more amazed by his faith, his humanity, his confidence, devotion, love and perseverance. Actually all these qualities exist in everyone, but for him it was different. He had manifested them into reality.

One person devoted himself to collect a couple of rocks everyday for 33 years, just to build a palace. His actions have inspired me living my life. When I feel defeated or facing obstacles, I will think of this project. I’ll be reminded to do what I’m capable of, regardless of how fast or slow it takes. For time will not be of any influence. Only if we have perseverance, the goal would surely be met. It is an act of faith, a freedom within a human being. No matter what ordeal we find unsolvable or overwhelms our strength, in the end, if we devote ourselves and do it with love, we would succeed.
