This CD was released in October, 1982. A year and half after, I found a ‘new’ CD player with a story behind it at university cooperative. When I saw the CD player that normally cost 200,000 was sold a half price, I took the plunge and bought it as my ‘gift for the passing the examination. I ordered this CD as well, because of complicated circumstances, and re-released 3 years later. That’s why this frist edition, which wasn’t distributed much was enthusiastically collected by the fans and maniacs.

CDが初めて世に出たのが1982年10月。それから1年半後、大学生となった私が「大学生協」で見つけたのが「訳有り新品」のCDプレーヤー。当時は1台20万円もするものが半額以下となっていたのを見た時、自分なりの「合格祝い」として、「清水の舞台から飛び降りる」思いで購入。「当然、ソフトも・・・」という事で、併せて注文したのが件の物。無事に手元に届いた後、暫くして「大人の事情」で店頭より回収となり、再プレスはそれから３年後。そんな事もあって、流通量が少ない「初回盤」は当時からファン・マニアの収集対象でした。ビートルズは30年来のファンですが「CDなら中古で十分」と決めている自分にとって、偶然手に入れることが出来た「初回版」。再プレス版より音はよくないらしいのですが、今でも時折引っ張り出しては聴いています。
