This water painting is my first collection that bought at the gallery on times square in New York, 1972. That was also my first business trip abroad.  I liked this painting as a skyscraper drawing symbolized New York. After that, I was surprised to find it ” Flat Iron Building” as a forerunner of skyscraper in Manhattan.

水彩画

昭和47年（1972年）、初めてアメリカに出張、ニューヨーク、タイムズスクエアの画廊で、初めてドルで購入した水彩画です。ニューヨークらしい摩天楼の絵と気に入って買ったが、後でこのビルがマンハッタン高層化のはしりの建物の”フラットアイアンビル”であることを知ってびっくり。
