I got this square paper board from Mr.Kamin. It is written “There is nobody poorer than anybody.  There is nobody the same.”  As I am a teacher, I found it very profound. I met Mr.Kamin by chance, and exchange the word paper. Unexpected encounter makes change to our point of view, our thought, or influence the life.  This paper may be a symbol of such encounter.

色紙

これはカミンさんからいただいた色紙です。日本語に訳すと、次のように書いてあります。「人に優劣なし。されど同じからず。」教員という仕事をしているわたしにとって、それはとても意味深い言葉でした。偶然にカミンさんと出会い、たまたま色紙を交換することになりましたが、偶然の出会いが、人の見方・考え方を変えたり、人生観を揺さぶったりすることがあるのです。この色紙は、そんな出会いの象徴かもしれません。
