When I was a student in art university, I worked as a model for a class of sculpture major. At that time I often visited his lodging house at the foot of the slope. After graduated university, we went our own ways. I was shocked to hear about his death suddenly from his friend by phone. Also I heard there was his retrospective exhibition. I imagined that he might have overworked for sculpture production in Kyoto. The photograph in the retrospective exhibition was my precious thing. (My friend took this, made this amount and sent it. ) I remember that I was so sad to go to Kyoto to see it. He was a very nice man.

私が美大生だった頃、彫刻専攻の友人の塑造のモデルを何度かし、坂の下の彼の下宿に通いました。卒業後はそれぞれ別の道に進んでみましたが、ある日突然彼の友人からのTELで、彼が亡くなり回顧展がある事を知り大変ショックでした。京都で働きながらの彫刻制作で無理を重ねたのでしょう。その回顧展での写真が思い出の品です。(友人が撮って額にして送って下さいました。)京都に見に行きとても悲しかったのを覚えています。大変よい方でした。
