Short Film

I met Loyenda on the side of the street. I was attracted by the flowing of his yellow flag imprinted with a Dharma wheel and his strange looking bicycle that paddles with hands instead of feet. Many were impressed with this handicapped foreigner riding a peculiar devised bicycle. For me, this elderly Dutch man is a friend, an artist, a Raw-food campaigner activist, but much more than this, he is a spiritual true friend. Our conversations trigger me to think about being human, how one insignificant human being is linked to all life and the universe in such gentle manner. “I feel that I had once appeared here, in Thailand, here as one and here to help fulfill others.” For the sky is one, no matter where you are looking at it on earth. Just as how the light in each person exchanges, connect and inspire one another with amity.

ผมพบโลเยนดา ที่ริมถนน สะดุดตาด้วยธงสีเหลืองพิมพ์ลายธรรมจักรปลิวไสว กับจักรยานหน้าตาแปลก ๆ ที่ใช้มือโยกแทนเท้าถีบ หลายคนประทับใจภาพแรกที่เห็นชายพิการชาวต่างประเทศ ปั่นจักรยานประดิษฏ์หน้าตาแปลกแปล่ง สำหรับผมชายสูงวัยชาวฮอลแลนด์คนนี้ คือเพื่อน ศิลปิน นักรณรงค์การกินอาหารปราศจากการปรุงสุก (Raw food) และมากไปกว่านั้น เขาคือกัลญาณมิตรทางจิตวิญญาญ บทสนทนาระหว่างกันทำให้ผมฉุกคิด ถึงการเป็นของมนุษย์ มนุษย์ตัวเล็ก ๆ ที่เชื่อมโยงถึงสิ่งมีชีวิตทั้งหลาย และจักรวาลอย่างอ่อนโยน “ผมรู้สึกว่าตัวเองเคยปรากฎอยู่ที่นี่ เมืองไทย อยู่ที่นี่ เป็นหนึ่งเดียว และเพื่อช่วยเหลือเติมเต็มกับผู้คน” เพราะเชื่อว่าท้องฟ้าคือผืนแผ่นเดียวกัน ไม่ว่ามองจากมุมไหนของโลก เฉกเช่นเดียวกับแสงสว่างในผู้คนที่สามารถแลกเปลี่ยน เชื่อมโยง และบันดาลใจซึ่งกันได้ ด้วยมิตรภาพ
