All books and movies collected in the 31st Century Museum of Contemporary Spirit are selected by people my invitation to choose one of their impressive book and movie. These people I’ve known them personally and feel good with them. They experience me with their positive energy that I cannot clearly explain through the word. Generally speaking, I can feel their compassion, love and sacrifice which they give and share to others. However I did not mean that theses qualifications do not exist in us, but we do not take these things out as a way of life in certain circumstances. I think that all the books and movies which are selected by the person who have the positive energy will be transmitted to the audiences.

หนังสือและภาพยนตร์ทั้งหมดที่ถูกเลือกมาไว้ในพิพิธภัณฑ์จิตวิญญาณร่วมสมัยแห่งศตวรรษที่ 31 (สถานี) โดยบุคคลที่ผมเชิญเพื่อเลือกหนังสือคนละหนึ่งเล่มและภาพยนตร์คนละหนึ่งเรื่อง บุคคลเหล่านี้ผมเลือกจากความรู้สึกที่ดีผ่านประสบการณ์ตรงที่ผมรู้จักเป็นการส่วนตัวและสามารถสัมผัสได้ว่าบุคคลเหล่านี้ มีคุณลักษณะสำคัญร่วมกันคือ มีการแสดงออกถึงพลังงานเชิงบวก (Positive Energy) ซึ่งผมไม่สามารถอธิบายผ่านทางภาษาได้ชัดเจน ว่าเหตุใดผมจึงรู้สึกเช่นนี้ต่อบุคคลกลุ่มดังกล่าว พูดให้ง่ายคือผมรู้สึกถึงความเสียสละ การแบ่งปันความรัก ความเมตตาและความห่วงใยต่อผู้อื่นในสังคมที่มีในบุคคลกลุ่มนี้ แต่มิใช่ว่าสิ่งที่กล่าวมานี้ไม่ได้มีอยู่ในเราทุกคน หากแต่เพียงในบางสถานการณ์เราไม่ได้นำสิ่งเหล่านี้ออกมาใช้เป็นวิถีชีวิต ผมคิดว่าหนังสือหรือภาพยนตร์ที่ถูกเลือกมาโดยบุคคลที่มีพลังงานเชิงบวกนี้ จะสามารถส่งผ่านให้กับผู้ที่เข้ามาอ่านหรือชมได้

Returning to antwerp after visiting you, rirkrit and annette and finishing one of the two books i took with me to thailand; verzegelde tijd/sculpting in time by andrei tarkovski (a book accompanied by two films; het offer/the sacrafice and a film by andrei on the making of the latter) i found tickets of an earlier visit. made me think that these books/films, the other being memories of the future by catherine lupton (a book on chris marker), must really like thailand and maybe they should return and stay their. but thinking it over no matter how hard both directors/documentary maker(s) and their body of work inspired me both books and films answering your question and the whole making a good story i can’t say they changed my life that profound. If i have to pick one who did just that i can’t help but choose one i shot myself. untitled; a lot of people. a future film, documentary on the my conversations. Tierelee jochem สวัสดีคามิน ผมได้คิดทบทวนเกี่ยวกับคำเชิญและคำถามของคุณถึงเรื่องภาพยนตร์ที่ส่งผลต่อชีวิตและมุมมองของผม ผมอ่านหนังสือจบหนึ่งในสองเล่มที่ผมนำติดตัวด้วยระหว่างเดินทาง หลังจากที่ไปเยี่ยมฤกษ์ฤทธิ์และแอนเน็ตที่ประเทศไทย verzegelde tijd/sculpting in time เขียนโดย Andrei Tarkovski (หนังสือเล่มนี้มีหนังสองเล่มประกอบ คือ the offer/the sacrifice) ผมได้เจอตั๋วเดินทางครั้งก่อนซึ่งทำให้ผมคิดถึงภาพยนตร์ของ Chris Marker และหนังสือ Memories of the Future เขียนโดย Catherine Lupton (เป็นหนังสือที่ว่าด้วยผลงานของ Chris Marker) ผมคิดว่าทั้งหนังสือและภาพยนตร์ดังกล่าวเกิดจากความตั้งใจของผู้เขียนและผู้สร้าง ซึ่งสามารถสื่อออกมาได้เป็นอย่างดีและเป็นแรงบันดาลใจให้กับผม แต่ก็ไม่ได้ส่งผลให้ชีวิตผมเปลี่ยนแปลงในแง่มุมที่ลึกซึ้ง ถ้าจะให้ผมเลือก ผมขอเลือกหนังที่ผมถ่ายทำขึ้นเอง “untitled; a lot of people” ซึ่งเป็นหนังสารคดีเกี่ยวกับบทสนทนาของผม Tierelee jochem |

My mother bought me since I was child. I’ve been reading it every year until now and my understanding to this book has change each time I read, as I’m growing up. This book is like a philosophy book that teaches us to never lose our imagination and search for our creative mind. Every kid has imagination, they can see the invisible things, they are brave to think, to dream. But when we are grow up those things are also disappear, whether by the knowledge we have gained or not, and in the end we are all stuck in the corner and never believe in what we cannot perceive. The picture of a snake swallows up an elephant illustrated at the first page of this book is the best sample; grown-up people can see it as a hat, but children can see that picture as a snake swallows up an elephant which could be described directly from a phrase at page 68 as “It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.” I use this book to teach other people, my employees to always have imagination, never lost their dream and dare to lateral thinking. Finally, it is like Albert Einstein once said “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” Bookเจ้าชายน้อย

Somluck Pantiboonสมลักษณ์ ปันติบุญThe Unknown Craftsman: A Japanese Insight into Beauty This book is gathering the idea of thinkers, philosophers, artists and craftsmen aim to preserve the art and culture of ordinary people which had been passing from generation to generation and extremely valuable to everyday life after World War 2, since the western culture had had influence in the Asia region especially in Japan, China and Korea. What happen was “all craftwork become art object” in other words “all craftsmen become artists” as western individualism. These thinkers suggest that “There is no need to be an artist to preserve the ordinary people and craftsman’s way of life.” หนังสือเล่มนี้เป็นการรวมตัวของนักคิด นักปรัชญา ศิลปินและช่างฝีมือ อันที่จะรักษางานศิลปวัฒนธรรมของคนธรรมดาสามัญชนที่สืบทอดกันมาอย่างต่อเนื่องและยาวนาน และมีคุณค่าอย่างยิ่งต่อวิถีชีวิตประจำวัน ในสมัยหลังสงครามโลกครั้งที่ 2 ซึ่งกระแสวัฒนธรรมตะวันตกมีอิทธิพลอย่างมากต่อภูมิภาคเอเชีย โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่ง ญี่ปุ่น จีน เกาหลี สิ่งที่เกิดขึ้นก็คือ “งานช่างฝีมือกลายเป็นงานศิลปะไปหมด” นั่นก็คือ “ช่างฝีมือกลายเป็นศิลปินไปหมด” ตามปัจเจกอย่างตะวันตก นักคิดกลุ่มนี้ให้ความเห็นว่า “การรักษาวิถีชีวิตคนธรรมดาสามัญชนและวิถีช่าง ไม่จำเป็นที่จะต้องเป็นศิลปินก็ได้” |
